Operation Herrick


Operation Herrick is the codename used for all British military operations in Afghanistan since 2002.

Operation Herrick includes the British contribution to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), and military operations in support of the US-led Operation Enduring Freedom.

The majority of British forces in Afghanistan are today located in Helmand province in the South of the country.
